C.J. Mosley is one of the most athletic linebackers in the 2010 class. He has
the speed, quickness, and change of direction to cover almost anybody on the
field. His closing speed and sideline to sideline speed is on par with the best
of the best. He still needs to add 15-20 pounds to his frame and work on getting
off blocks. Other than that he will be the definition of an inside linebacker in
the Alabama defensive system.
Who He Reminds Me Of
Miami Dolphin Channing Crowder.
Mosley will likely redshirt his freshman year to bulk up and learn Nick Saban
and Kirby Smart's complicated defense. He has football smarts and tends to pick
up new defenses with ease, which has shown itself in the all-star games he has
played in. He has the frame to add somewhere between 15 to 25 pounds, but needs
to not lose his speed. The speed Mosley shows on the field in closing on the
football and covering sideline to sideline will allow him to see the field more
quickly at Alabama. I expect Mosley to be a 3 to 4 year starter at Alabama with
potential to become an All-American one day.
