Green with
three in mind

A popular stop
for college coaches this recruiting cycle has been Tampa Catholic High School in
Florida and one of the main reasons is to get a look at Christian Green. An
incredible athlete who excels at quarterback in high school, but plans to split
out wide at the next level.
“I’d rather play Wide Receiver than Quarterback,” Green said. “But I play there
because my team needs me there.”
Green is such a dynamic player, he can’t really compare
himself to any current Wide Receiver, but has a few in mind when asked who he’d
like to be similar to.
“My favorite receivers are Chad Johnson, and Terrell Owens because he’s really
physical.” Green conveyed.
Green, who is currently 6’2 and weighs 196 pounds, is not only a fierce
competitor on the gridiron, but also a leader.
“I'd say (my best attribute) is that I’m real competitive and I try to lead
by
example.” Green said. “I don’t like to lose.”
Green is teammates with another Green, top offensive linemen Chaz Green, and the
two form quite an offensive duo.
“He (Chaz Green) is a heck of player.” Said Green. “He’s a beast. He’s big, but
he can move really well, and is a big impact on our offensive line.”
Green claims “about 30 or 40 offers,” but three stick out above the rest.
“My top three is Georgia, Florida, and Florida State.” Said Green.
Green also plans to make a couple trips before making his final decision.
“Yes, I’ll definitely make it to Friday Night Lights on July 24 and also
Seminole Showtime.” Green explained. “And I’m going to try to visit Georgia next
month.”
Green is enjoying the recruiting process, but is still focused on the playing
field.
“I just think it’s an honor, but I want to stay focused and get better as a
player.”
Green is not sure as to when he’s going to make his decision, but knows what he’s
looking for in the perfect school.
“A family environment where I feel comfortable and I can feel at home, and also
where I like the players.”
Green ranks as the #26 overall prospect in ThaRinger’s Top 300.
