Scouting Report
Darius White is the total package. He has the hands, jumping ability, route
running, and speed to make any defensive back crumble at the knees. He sinks his
hips when he plants to come out of his breaks and does a great job of
positioning his body where only he can catch the ball. The thing that impresses
me the most about White is his ability to go up and get the ball at its highest
point using his 40 inch vertical to his advantage. He is the definition of a
possession wide receiver with play making capabilities.
Who He Reminds Me Of
Notre Dame Sophomore Wide Receiver Michael Floyd.
College Outlook
Darius White has the ability to play as a freshman and become a special player
at Texas. With his size and deep threat ability people will be quick to
compare him to Roy Williams. White is a big enough of a play maker to see time as
a punt/kick returner early in his career. The sky is the limit for him and I
would not be shocked to see him name mentioned as the best deep threat wide
receiver in college football two or three years from now. He has All-American
talent with the potential to be an early NFL draft pick.
