Scouting Report
Just an absolute physical freak that could play a number of positions in
college. I feel his best opportunity for success will come at Defensive End.
With his hand in the ground, Powell displays a good burst off the ball coupled
with great agility and an explosion not seen in many prep D-Lineman. Has a good
knack for reading the quarterback in zone blitz coverage.
Powell also displays good leverage, hand use, and strength at the point of
attack. The biggest upside of any prospect I've seen in the 2010 class. Good
football IQ. Is very aware of what's going on around him on the football field.
He's competitive, shows a great motor, and will do whatever is asked of him. Can
beat you with finesse, power, and mental acuity. The whole package.
Who He Reminds Me Of
Mix between Osi Umenyiora and Lawrence Taylor.
College Outlook
Is ready to play the minute he steps on campus. Will have a good chance to be a
difference maker from game #1.
I feel Ronald has the ability to be an All-American on multiple occasions and
should be a first round NFL draft pick after his Junior year.
