After having major success w/ one undersized Pahokee CB (Janoris Jenkins) , the University of Florida hopes to land another from "The Muck". They become the most recent power to offer Merrill Noel and right away should be considered one of his leaders. One of Noel's teammates and best friends, Richard Ash, is a heavy Florida lean.

Follow us on Twitter. I know, I'm not a big fan either, but you have to stay up w/ the rest of the crowd. Plus, we post stuff on there that is not here.

San Diego(CA) RB Brennan Clay has committed to Oklahoma. Clay, a dual threat coming out of the backfield, also has offers from the likes of Michigan, Oregon, Stanford, Georgia, and Arizona State. It will be interesting to see if this sticks all the way till NSD as Michigan and good friend Tate Forcier will be trying to persuade a change of heart.

6/6/09

HUGE pickup for Virginia Tech as DE Zach McCray has made his pledge to the Hokies. The 6'5" product of Lynchburg(VA) has many offers including Alabama, UNC, LSU, Tennessee, NC State, Wake, and BC.

2010 Individual State Rankings will be released throughout the month. We start w/ Alabama.

It looks as if Mobile(AL) WR Solomon Patton could commit to Florida any day now. The speedy WR has been an Alabama/Florida battle for the past 2 months.

Troy(AL) LB Jawara White will announce where he will be attending college on Monday. I'm told it will be Auburn.

Mount Ulla(NC) LB Chris Smith, who had 25 sacks as a Junior for West Rowan HS, has committed to Arkansas. He also holds offers from East Carolina, Duke, Virginia, and Arizona.

Memphis(TN) LB Justin Maclin has committed to LSU.

6/7/09

Hearing that Waynesville(NC) QB Tyler Brosius has committed to Virginia. The 6'3" prospect also has offers from UCF, Pitt, and Maryland among others.

Being told that Alabama commit WR Keiwone Malone is torn between Bama and Ole Miss at the moment.

Hearing that Hazlet(NJ) WR Bennett Jackson will commit to Notre Dame today. The 6'1" wideout has over a dozen offers and should rise a little in the rankings.

Cahokia(IL) WR Jimmie Hunt has committed to Missouri. He is a very talented split end prospect, but has a lot of work to do in the classroom in order to qualify.

Calhoun(GA) WR Da'Rick Rogers will pledge to the college of his choice on Tuesday. It looks to be down to Georgia and Florida w/ UGA having the slight lead.

6/8/09

Lithonia(GA) RB Mack Brown enjoyed his trip to Alabama over the weekend and has put the Tide amongst his leaders. Georgia and Florida have been battling it out for the shifty RB throughout the process.

Bessemer(AL) LB LaDarius Owens has named a top 5 of Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida State in that order. He's all Auburn at this point and a commitment to AU isn't far off from what I'm told.

Alabama has offered GA ATH Victor Beasley. He immediately put the Tide as his outright leader.

Initial 2010 Georgia Rankings.

New Orleans(LA) ATH Ronnie Vinson has committed to LSU. He has a boatload of offers including Alabama, Michigan, UCLA, Ole Miss, and USC.

Update on Keiwone Malone: He says he's solid to Alabama.

6/9/09

Ft. Lauderdale(FL) DB Cody Riggs has stated that Notre Dame is no longer his leader and that he is wide open. Riggs, who just picked up an offer from Florida, won't announce anytime soon. I'm told Florida, Notre Dame and Florida State are his top schools.

Washington(PA) LB Ken Wilkins has publicly committed to Michigan. He has over 15 offers including Wisconsin, Illinois, UNC and Pitt.

LSU has picked up two more commitments from Alabama ATH Sam Gibson and Georgia TE Cameron Fordham. Fordham looks like he could possibly play OL in college.

WR Da'Rick Rogers committed to Georgia today. While it's a great haul for Georgia, the trick will be getting him qualified. Lots of work to do there.

The San Diego Padres have selected 2009 UNC WR commit Donovan Tate w/ the 3rd pick in the MLB draft. Tate was a playmaker that the UNC staff was very high on, but it looks like he'll go the baseball route if the Padres ante up.

6/10/09

Westlake Village(CA) QB Nick Montana has committed to Washington. The 6'2" QB had offers from over 25 programs including LSU, Notre Dame, Georgia, Ohio State, FSU, Alabama, Nebraska, and Stanford. Montana's HS teammate, OL Erik Kohler, should join him at Washington as well.

It looks like Shawnee(KS) ATH Justin McCay is trimming his list of schools. I'm told the teams that are still in play for the 6'3", 200 pound prospect are Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Florida, Kansas State, Tennessee, and Oklahoma.

Initial 2010 Ohio Rankings are up.

A couple Notre Dame bits:
Ohio QB Andrew Hendrix looks to be down to ND and Ohio State. Hendrix just got done visiting South Bend and looks to be leaning toward the Irish at this point.

VA. ATH and current Duke commit Aramide Olaniyan will camp at ND in late June and there is a decent chance he could pull a switch to the Irish if offered.

6/11/09

Looks like there is a real good chance that McDonough(GA) DE Anthony Williams could commit during his weekend trip to Georgia Tech.

Las Vegas(NV) WR Garic Wharton has committed to Arizona. The 5'11", 160 pound speedster is a prospect on the rise and has offers from UNLV, Utah, Nebraska, and Utah State.

Louisville(GA) CB Barry Bostic has committed to Georgia Tech. At 5'10", 160, the speedy corner makes plays with anticipation and superior athleticism. UCLA, Wake, Stanford, UVA, Miss State, and Maryland are some of the other offers he holds.

Clemson has landed DT DeShawn Williams, the #10 player in South Carolina for 2011 according to TR's early rankings. UNC, Oregon, South Carolina, Georgia, and LSU were also showing early interest.

Highly underrated Belle Glade(FL) CB Greg Dent has been offered by Miami. I expect more schools to offer in the near future. He says he will most likely decide in the fall.

2009 Ohio State commit, RB Jamaal Berry, was arrested Thursday in Miami on felony marijuana possession. The charge carries a 5 year jail term and a 5,000 fine if convicted. Ohio State is aware of the situation, but has yet to comment.

6/12/09

Corona(CA) RB Jordon James has 4 of his officials planned. He will visit Florida, UCLA, Notre Dame, and Arizona. The shifty RB looks like a ND/UCLA battle right now.

Memphis(TN) QB Barry Brunetti has Penn State, Miss State, and West Virginia out in front. I think Brunetti would have already committed to PSU if Paul Jones wasn't committed. I tend to think Miss State has a really good shot here at this point.

Decatur(GA) CB Jonathan Mincy has named Auburn as his clear cut leader. The 5'10" corner has offers from programs like Tennessee, LSU, Michigan, Miami, and Ole Miss. At this point Mincy is an underrated prospect that I expect to be a mid-high 4 star player on the major sites before the end of the cycle.

For the 2nd day in a row Clemson has plucked a very good 2011 prospect. This time it's TR Florida Watch List RB Marlin Lane. Visit our friends at AthleteVault.Com to check out his film.

6/13/09

Initial 2010 Florida State Rankings are up.

Hoover(AL) DT Jeremiah Jackson has committed to Arkansas. He also holds offers from Auburn, Vandy, Southern Miss, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Duke.

Atlanta(GA) WR Antonio Goodwin has named Auburn as his leader. The 6'2" WR has offers from all over the country, including Alabama, FSU, Oregon, Tennessee, UNC, Florida, and Georgia.

Penn State is really putting the full court press on for RB Marcus Lattimore. He plans on visiting Happy Valley at the end of June. PSU, FSU, UNC, Auburn, and Clemson all have a good shot right now, but watch out for South Carolina.

Tyrone(GA) DB Isaiah Johnson has committed to Georgia Tech. Georgia, Ok State, Duke, South Carolina, Stanford, Ole Miss, Miami, and NC State have all offered.

Some of this weekends visitors to Auburn include Michael Dyer, LaDarius Owens, Jarrick Williams, Jessel Curry, Jeremy Richardson, Dwun Bonner, Marquee Reddick, Marques Pair, Trey Fetner(2011), Travis Dickson, and Garrison Smith.

6/14/09

Georgia Tech has picked up another pledge w/ Georgia guard prospect Catlin Alford.

Virginia received two very nice commitments yesterday in MD WR E.J. Scott and NJ LB Ryan Cobb.

Initial 2010 Pennsylvania rankings are up.

Mobile(AL) WR Solomon Patton officially to Florida. Great fit in that system.

Initial 2010 Michigan rankings are up.

A couple of Auburn bits:
LB LaDarius Owens visited AU w/ his uncle and enjoyed his time there. No timetable for an announcement has been made, but from what I'm told Auburn is well out in front.
S Jarrick Williams had a great time by all accounts and Auburn really helped themselves, but Bama is still his leader.
ATH Jessel Curry has backed off his WVU commitment after his Auburn visit and I'm told will publicly commit to AU soon.

McKinney(TX) QB Zach Lee has committed to LSU. Lee is also an outstanding baseball player who has offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, Nebraska, Texas Tech, and Arizona State.

York(PA) TE/DE Kyle Baublitz has committed to Penn State. He has other offers from Pitt, Virginia, Boston College, FSU, Clemson, Michigan, Illinois, West Virginia, and Michigan State.

Portland(OR) CB Keanon Lowe has committed to Washington. Steve Sarkisian is proving he can recruit.

Memphis(TN) QB Barry Brunetti has named West Virginia his leader. The rising signal caller should come down to WVU, Penn State, Tennessee, and Miss State. Even though he has the Mountaineers out front, I like Miss State's chances here.

6/15/09

Little Rock(AR) RB Michael Dyer concluded his Auburn visit by stating that the Tigers were #1 on his list and have been so for awhile. Dyer went on to say that he doesn't expect to take anymore visits and a decision should come soon. From everything I'm hearing it looks good for coach Malzahn and Auburn.

A couple QB bits:
Hearing that OH QB Andrew Hendrix is a done deal to ND.
Told that FL QB Jeffrey Godfrey is a FSU lean, but that USF is coming on strong.
Michigan State is looking like the place that MI QB Robert Bolden will land, but it's not a done deal yet.

Underrated Andover(NH) WR Stephen Alli has committed to Florida. Huge 6'5" target that has been hand timed at 4.46. Kind of shocking just because I was told he had a verbal offer only yesterday and that it was unsure the Gators would accept a commitment.

Hearing that Jacksonville(FL) OL Brent Benedict has committed to Georgia.
UPDATE: It's official. What a huge pick up for the Dawgs.

Memphis(TN) QB Barry Brunetti has committed to West Virginia. Great pickup for the Mountaineers and should be fun to see if it sticks.
Update: Brunetti says he's a man of his word and solid to WVU.

Detroit(MI) CB Mylan Hicks has committed to Michigan State. The impressive DB has offers from all over the country including Arizona, Michigan, Iowa, Colorado, Wisconsin, Purdue, and Missouri.

6/16/09

No surprise here, Detroit(MI) DE William Gholston has committed to Michigan State. The 6'7" pass rusher also has offers from Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Florida, Florida State, Miami, LSU, Tennessee, Alabama, and Oklahoma.

The hits keep coming for Georgia as fast rising WR Michael Bennett has committed to UGA. The 6'3" prospect from Alpharetta(GA) has impressed a lot of scouts and coaches lately.

Buford(GA) ATH Jessel Curry has committed to Auburn. The 6'2, 215 pound product will most likely play LB at AU. He was previously committed to West Virginia.

Hearing that the UF trip for AL RB Corey Grant has done a lot for the Gators chances with him. At this point, I'm told he is a solid UF lean and should he announce his college intentions soon that it will be for Florida. If he holds off however, he does live in Alabama(even though it's AU territory) and the pressure will be immense to go w/ the in state school. Should be a fun one to watch play out.

Looks like Georgia has picked up another commitment; as I'm told under the radar FL LB Demetre Baker has pledged for UGA.

A little glimpse into the future. Here's 2012 stud RB prospect
Barry Sanders Jr. film.

I'm being told by a source that I trust 100% that Michael Dyer is a done deal to Auburn. Not shocking w/ the recent news around Dyer, but I still always thought he would end up at Arkansas. Great get for Auburn.

6/17/09

Bamberg(SC) OL A.J. Cann has committed to South Carolina. It was expected, but still a nice job of keeping the in-state player by Spurrier and Co. Cann also has offers from Tennessee, Auburn, FSU, Bama, Oklahoma, UNC, Michigan, Clemson, Va. Tech, and many more.

Hearing that Dallas(TX) LB Corey Nelson has Oklahoma out in front. Nelson, I'm told, was dead set on LSU until Justin Maclin announced his intentions.

Looks like the visit to Florida went really well for CA. DE Ronald Powell. The amazing athlete hopes to make it back for UF's "Friday Night Lights" in July and for an official visit in the fall. While I still expect him to end up at USC, Florida has done a good job of closing the huge gap.

New Orleans(LA) QB Munchie Legaux has named Oregon as his leader; Baylor and Tennessee are also close to the top. Tennessee also has eyes for two Cali QB's as Jesse Scroggins is visiting and Chase Rettig has UT in the driver's seat.

6/18/09

WR Markeith Ambles has had his invitation to the UA game pulled for unspecified reasons.

Rumor floating around that DB LaMarcus Joyner might decide his school of choice sooner rather than later. Originally thought to be a NSD or beyond decision, September 12th has been a discussed date recently and I'm hearing it could come even earlier than that. As for who leads? I'm told FSU.

Illinois has plucked a very nice player in Cass Tech(MI) DB Daniel Easterly. The big 6'4" safety also has offers from Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Louisville, and Minnesota. While it's a great pickup, it might not be over because if Michigan comes calling this could get interesting.

6'4", 213 pound WR Nate Askew has committed to Texas A&M. The San Antonio(TX) native also has offers from Texas Tech, Baylor, Arkansas, FSU, Minnesota, Ok. State, Missouri, and Colorado.

6/19/09

Georgia CB Darius Robinson and Tennessee DE Jaques Smith interviews
here.

The University of Oklahoma secured their 12th commitment of the '10 cycle last night w/ the pledge of LB Trayvon Henry. The Oklahoma native also has offers from Colorado, Louisville, Arkansas, Kansas State, Texas Tech, Kansas and OK. State

It looks like Zionsville(IN) DE Blake Lueders is down to Stanford and Notre Dame. I'm told Notre Dame has a decent size lead for his signature.

Jacksonville(FL) DB and
Hot List member Derek Owens has committed to Georgia. South Carolina, Miami, Purdue, Florida, South Florida, Illinois, and Cincinnati have all offered.

Douglasville(GA) DB Ryan Ayers has committed to Georgia Tech. The lightning quick corner has offers from Alabama, UNC, Auburn, Miss. State, Georgia, Arkansas, and many more.

6/20/09

The University of California picked up some excellent news last night as Frederick(MD) LB Nick Forbes committed to the Golden Bears.

Hearing there is a good chance that massive DT Johnathon Hankins commits to Ohio State before the end of the day.
Update: Told Hankins will not commit today after attending the UM camp.

Tuscumbia(AL) ATH Deion Belue has committed to Alabama. The Crimson Tide's 2nd commitment of the day after P Jay Williams announced this morning.

Good
article on QB Jesse Scroggins and his visit to Tennessee/plans for future.

Alabama has just added their 3rd commitment of the day in 2011 star LB/RB Brent Calloway. Calloway is ranked #1 in the state of
Alabama for 2011 by ThaRinger.Com.

NC OT T.J. Leifheit interview
here.

Being told that 2011 DE prospect Jalen Grimble might already be a done deal to UCLA. Some sources indicate that he privately committed to UCLA upon getting his offer. Far from over, if USC jumps in this could end up being a USC/UCLA fight.

Initial 2010 Tennessee rankings are up.

Durham(NC) WR Anthony Creecy has publicly committed to N.C. State.

6/22/09

Hearing that Jacksonville(FL) DL Tavaris Barnes has committed to Florida State.

Hearing rumblings surrounding 2 Miami DT's and their possible wandering eyes. DT Todd Chandler is said to be giving Tennessee a look while DT Louis Nix has publicly stated that he really likes Florida and sounds unsure about his Miami commit. I tend to think Miami won't lose either (especially Chandler), but when there is smoke.......

MI QB Robert Bolden is expected to visit Penn State on Saturday and extend his visit into next week. Michigan State could have a fight on their hands for the prized QB.

FSU has grabbed their 2nd commitment of the day w/ Pahokee(FL) WR De'Joshua Johnson pledging for the 'Noles. For an in-depth breakdown of both FSU commitments today visit our friends at

Also, if he has a committable offer(hearing different things on this) NY OL/DL DaQuan Jones may commit to the Nittany Lions as well this weekend

Looks like Jacksonville(FL) DT Louis Nix will visit Notre Dame this weekend. Also, the Irish welcomed in QB Andrew Hendrix yesterday and there is a good chance the signal caller will commit to ND either today or tomorrow.

Our friends at AthleteVault.Com have come out with their new 2010 top 150. Check it out!

Being told that Lakewood(CA) QB Jesse Scroggins did indeed get a USC offer today. The 6'3 signal caller was the best QB in attendance from what I'm told. I still think Tennessee lands him, but the SC offer will definitely make it interesting.

6/25/09

Two more QB dominoes fell today as Notre Dame accepted a commitment from OH QB Andrew Hendrix and MI QB Joe Boisture made a switch from BC to Michigan State after attaining a MSU offer.
Does this clear the way for a Robert Bolden commitment this weekend to Penn State? I'm told there is a very good chance.

Hearing that DE/LB/TE Ronald Powell is absolutely the #1 player at USC's "Rising Stars" camp today, and was as well yesterday (w/ Jackson Jeffcoat being #2). George Uko and 2011 prospects Greg Townsend, Christian Westerman, and Devon Blackmon impressed as well.

Also, hearing that talk at the USC camp was that TX OL Jake Matthews is down to Texas A&M/USC.

2011 QB Patrick Coyne, from Stephen T. Badin HS in Ohio, has received a verbal offer from Toledo and is told he will receive a written offer in September from Cincinnati. Coyne recently attended both schools camps and impressed; the #9 ranked player on the TR
2011 Ohio Watch List also has recently won underclassman MVP at the Cincinnati Scout combine and overall MVP at the Indy NUC event.

Hearing that 2011 Gardena(CA) WR George Farmer has given a verbal pledge to USC at their camp today. Farmer is ranked #4 on our
early 2011 national top 50.

Zionsville(IN) DE Blake Lueders has committed to Notre Dame.

Here's what I've gathered on the Jesse Scroggins situation:
I've been told by two separate sources that he has already committed to USC.
Told by one source that he told coach Carroll that he wanted to commit to SC, but wanted to take a couple days to think it over.
A handful of sources have told me it is 50/50 between the two teams (USC/Tennessee).
We are hoping to get in touch w/ Jesse as soon as possible, but no luck thus far.
UPDATE: After gathering more info I am fairly confident that Jesse Scroggins has not committed to USC, but is leaning heavily towards the Trojans as of tonight.

FL. CB Lo Wood interview is up.
Here

6/26/09

Washington,DC LB Javarie Johnson has committed to Miami. The 6'4 OLB is a player that I love after watching his most recent film. He will be a factor in the TR after summer rankings.

Cambridge(MA) TE Blake Barker has decided to head west and play college football. The 6'6, 230 pound TE prospect has committed to Stanford. Stanford all of a sudden, under Harbaugh, is recruiting nationally.

Looks like SC ATH Jerrell Priester could make his decision today. I'm told he's between Notre Dame/Vanderbilt and that if Notre Dame has room in their class, he should announce for the Irish.
UPDATE: Priester will hold off on a commitment. I'm told he was on the verge of choosing Vandy

Auburn is trying to pry their way into the Corey Grant sweepstakes. The RB from nearby Opelika, AL is thought to be a couple weeks away from a decision. He visited AU on Wednesday and met w/ coaches. At the moment, I like Florida for Grant.

New offers coming out of USC's "Rising Stars" camp:
DB Anthony Brown
DL George Uko
QB Jesse Scroggins
DE Greg Townsend(2011)
WR George Farmer(2011)
OT Christian Westerman(2011)
DE Jalen Grimble(2011)

I'm told that Apopka(FL) CB Lo Wood will announce his decision at 8PM.

Rumor floating around that Ft.Lauderdale(FL) DB LaMarcus Joyner will commit to FSU before the end of the weekend. No confirmation on our end from anyone close to the situation.

Duncan(SC) RB Marcus Lattimore won't make his Penn State visit this weekend. He plans to visit Happy Valley in late July. South Carolina and FSU are the teams to beat at this time.

Apopka(FL) CB Lo Wood has committed to Notre Dame.

Newnan(GA) DB Alec Ogletree has committed to UGA. Great get by Richt, but should be fun to see this play out.

2011 TN RB/CB
Devrin Young interview is up. Young is ranked at #43 on our early top 50 for '11.

Chesapeake(VA) DT Evan Hailes has committed to Penn State.

Eight Mile(AL) S Jarrick Williams has committed to Alabama.

Niceville(FL) RB Roy Finch has committed to Oklahoma.

6/27/09

Seems like the chain reaction caused by Alec Ogletree announcing for Georgia will start soon. I'm told Miami coaches should accept a commitment from Pahokee(FL) LB Zach Allen in the near future.

Being told that State College(PA) WR Alex Kenney has committed to Penn State. Huge weekend for the Nittany Lions, and they should get at least 1 more pledge before Wednesday.

Initial 2010 South Carolina rankings are up.
